I think Benfica have held that crown. Think they've made summat daft like half a billion in sales over a few seasons.

Yep, Benfica are also up there, helped to a large degree by the Joao Felix and Darwin Nunez sales. Sporting though it seems are just churning out top end players at the moment with the added bonus to the players (and those of Benfica of course) of living in & around Lisbon - marginally better than Shirecliffe!

The model those sides use is certainly proving successful with the scouts heavily incentivised and rewarded when players are sold on for profit

The Portuguese League is an odd one - not dissimilar to Scotland in there's a small number of clubs that are far bigger than the rest of the others in the league and dominate year after year.

That said, all three large teams compete well in Europe and have tremendous records of developing players, selling them on for incredible profits.

Sporting should be a great choice - and he'll get to live in Lisbon!
