I haven't a clue what the starting line-up could be, we have such a large squad now only Robbo and Kidd will know what the best 11 will be to put out.

Oh yes. They've got nowt to come.
I thought we played well today. Beattie and Sharp looked lively. Kilgallon did "most" things well (I'll come back to this) Geary played well again and Kenny's save off the free kick was fantastic.
The minus' are as follows......
Hendrie LW why? He has no pace.
Leggy and Monty in centre of park together? Why?
Where was the wall when Kenny made that fantastic save, that should have been the post they should have been covering.
Kilgallon on the second goal decided to go walkies and leave the man he was on all game.
Monty in his usual, do something well then give ball away.
Gillespie's main attribue, Crossing was crap to say the least.
We deserved to win the game, but it's a new season with the same old mistakes.
As for the ref, he was atrocious, but even had it been another ref it would have finished 2-2

We played some decent stuff again at times and alot of the fans don't like a patient build up which really pissed me off. Learn about the game of football before you come to the game for fuck's sake :rant:
Right, Kenny was ok today, couldn't do anything about either goal and made a couple of decent stops when called upon.
Geary - Looked solid, doesn't get beaten very often. Had a good game.
Lucketti - Didn't win enough headers for my liking, improvement was needed from him. We need Morgan instead of him to organise the defence better aswell.
Kilgallon - Hardly put a foot wrong all game, the one thing he did wrong cost us which was unfortunate for him.
Naysmith - Looked steady, again hardly put a foot wrong all game.
Gillespie - Wasn't good enough. Hasn't got the pace to get round defenders anymore, his best attribute is crossing, and he may aswell not have bothered because there were some poor balls in.
Montgomery - Wasn't bad, did the dirty stuff ok but again his passing let him down on a few occassions. Also needed some new boots.
Leigertwood - I was surprised he was taken off tbh, had a good game and looked better than Montgomery I thought. If he carries on playing like that I'll be happy.
Hendrie - Looked disillusioned out on the left, if he'd have played more central he would have been more effective. Hopefully Robson puts him in the middle at Watford next week.
Sharp - Looked lively, some decent runs at times but never really looked like scoring. Think he will get better.
Beattie - Top performance I thought, won more or less every header that came his way and took his goal well. Arguably man of the match for us.
Armstrong - When he came on he was very poor, completely different to how he was in pre-season. I hope for an improvement in him.
Tonge - Came on and did well, my only complaint with him was sometimes coming too deep for the ball and not advancing enough when doing that. He took his goal well.
Webber - Wasn't on long enough to make an impact.
Not a bad performance overall, but the marking must be worked on, and concentration levels after we score.
I'm still confident, I just hope people don't rush to judge Robson like some of the morons on the back of the Kop :rant:

All the build up to the game and hpye about all the players causeded a downer. A good turnout of fans to see a greatly anticipated match turn into lul by 2 soft goals.
All the hype about sharp, he didnt look that special really today? weather it be the luck of where the ball landed or needs to gell more im unsure.
Beattie, for £4million, everyone was scratching there head wondering why we paid that much. Beattie today not only took his goal well but worked his socks off leading the line. Much better player than what i saw playing against us last season.
Hendrie played on left wing. Why? Though warnock was back for the moment with the midfield set up. 2 defensive midfielders in the park and our new "creative" midfielder out wide. Looked for the ball and tried to get the ball rolling for us. Think he will do a better job in the middle though.
Leighetwood has a good game. Think he would have been better had it not been for his booking. couldnt put the boot in and had to be carefull of what he did. on the whole, a lot better player than last season. Seemed to be in the right place at the right time, but his first toutch and seccond was poor at times.
Monty looked as he was still on his holidays at times. His new boots didnt help to curb his bad first toutch. ran around abit but did nothing special.
Keef put in a lovely ball for our first goal. His other balls into the box were poor and so to of some of the distribution. Needs work on his corners to beat the first man.
Geary had a solid game. kept them out and managed to get forward a few times too. Should have a great season again.
Naysmith had a quiet game really. nothing special. Makes me wonder though that there 2 goals came from the left hand side.
All together i think the players need time to bed in with each other and we missed morgan at the back organising everyone. Now warnock has gone, we need morgan barking the orders round and putting passion into the lads.
Beattie would be my man of the match as he played the line great and took his goal well. im expecting him to be one of the top goal scoreres in the division this season.
And yes the nobs have started. At the tramstop on the way home, one bloke was calling for robson out already and saying how crap leggy is and how he had been to all the pre season games and we had been shit. What a tosser.
need time to gell and hopefully we can get a win tuesday!

Why does everyone seem to think Monty was wearing new boots?
He has had this variety of boot for a long time. I believe he first started wearing them at Coventry away 2005
I can't say nothing about this cross as it was a good cross.
But really apart from that I can't think of much he did.

geary was out of this wotld today man of the match for me by far,paddy made a great save,bt and sharp linked up well,but i feel a lack of communication and leadership has cost us 2 points.

It was, but it was the only one that was decent out of about 12. If he puts 6 out of 12 decent ones in then it's ok, but 1 isn't good enough in my opinion.
Because he slipped and fell over about 6 times.
