Just having a nosey around on companies house to see if there was any movement with on their re the Blades.

I come across the original blades listing dating back to 1945 that McCabe has kept and changed the name. I’m going through the list of directors (some really bad names on there. Jacob Esan anyone??)

then I come across Sir Robert Charlton club director for less than a year June 92 to March 93. In 35 so was only about 6/7 at the time and maybe this is common knowledge but it’s first I’ve ever heard about it? What was it all about? And weirdly he was an active board member at Man Utd at the same time..

On a different note weirdly the Prince, his crew, Bettis and Blades leisure all own a company called Bobby Charlton International which is quite recent and seems in no way linked to Bobby Charlton

It came about through companies sufc bought when we went plc ,think it was le quoc sportive who had the rights to Bobby charltons naming rights .

Remember Mike McDonald owning Le Coq but that was around 96, that makes sense for the Prince part but not sure it answers why Bobby Charlton himself was actually on the board in 1992? Maybe it does it just seems weird
