Bolton 2-1 win
Villa 1-0 defeat
Boro 1-1 draw
Reading 2-0 win
WBA 2-0 defeat
Pigs 3-2 win
Millers 2-1 win
Brentford 2-0 win
Leeds 4-0 defeat
Brizzle 2-1 win
PNE 1-0 defeat
Brummies 1-1 draw
Millwall 2-0 win
Florest 3-2 win
Hull 2-0 win
Ipswich 3-1 win
Stoke 1-1 draw

84 points in total

Lose in play off final...……...To Wendy obviously once fatboy gets them firing on all cylinders

There is more chance of me taking Jessica Chastain on a dirty weekend to Whitby, than the trufflehunters overcoming 11 points, and beating the 11 teams currently 16th-6th in front of them into a play off place.

Nice fishing though.

I thought this would be another BTL “we can win every game” post. Not quite.

I think we’ll be in the low 80’s, that probably won’t get us top 2 but you never know.

I'm more hoping we as fans just enjoy the ride. We had 6 years of mediocrity and disappointment which soured our outlook on our prospects. We can now be more upbeat as we are back to competing in the top 6 . Just as we got used to in the noughties. We are third on merit and deserve to look forward to better possibilities with our ever improving squad. Let's enjoy the fact for the 3rd year in a row we've improved. If we finish say 5th we have achieved advancing forward again . With our available funds it's remarkable

You’re about 2 1/2 years late with your first point. We’ve moved on a lot since Wilder arrived and at times in the last two seasons we’ve arguably played better football than in our promotion season.

I think people are enjoying the football nowadays. We’ve had less than a handful of games this season where we’ve not turned up. Most games were great to watch, even if on a few occasions the result hasn’t been what we hoped or expected.

A 2-2 comeback draw against the 2nd in the division is a great result, a 2-2 away at lowly Rotherham was poor. Yesterday I felt we mixed it and were never out of the game and deserved what we got. It’s very cliched but we’re happier when we get what we deserve

So this second half of the season is there for the taken and to be enjoyed and endured. I hope we enjoy the end of season just as much as in that Wilder 1st season

Not much moaning at the moment, the people doing the moaning are generally on the wind up.

I'd be scared of West Brom and Boro in the playoffs, the rest I think we'd have a good go against.

At one point in the game, we came back against the top of the league. Just saying.

I like the title of this thread. Yes there will be setbacks but barring a massive slump ( which doesn't look likely like last year lundstram carruthers basham midfield in one match post Coutts) we will be at least solidly in the playoff group making for a great run in. I won't be losing the plot after a defeat or two and Bramall Lane should become our fortress platform. Nick second place on last day of season against a disconsolate Stoke.

agree with OP 100%

Enjoy the games, support the team with great backing and see where we end up
would be amazed if we won all the 'winnable' home games and also with games against the teams around us away , There could be some crackers - plenty of twists and turns ahead

exciting times

I think you could add Birmingham, Preston and Hull to the stand out tough trips.

What a great position to be in after all those years in division 1 playing crap teams and being outplayed on a regular basis
Everyone just needs to be positive and support the team, make BL intimidating again

I very much like the look of our last 6-7 games. All against teams likely to have nothing to play for at that stage.

If we replicated the results against these sides from earlier in the season we would amass 26 more points which would give us 77 altogether and would be enough for Play Offs I reckon.

However we do it, we need to aim for 30 more points to give us a fighting chance of a top two finish. I think WBA will take one of the two spots with the other contested between us, Leeds and Norwich.

season we came up we pulled 43 points from last 17 games in a great run , replicate that we get 94 points
think 88 could be enough the way the points are spread this season

if we can get 2 points per game average we get 34 points for an 85 points finish

Fair do's.

Note to self - read posts more than once when drunk, before responding.

No worries mate
I often include a bit of sarcasm and double entendres into my messages, so it's hardly surprising that they sometimes get misinterpreted
