Going? Or watching it on the telly?

I'll probably be finding a pub, as a Friday away trip is out of the question for me.
Besides which, I really don't fancy driving over the Snake, and I will be able to have many beers instead of fizzy pop.

Watching it on TV down the local. Would expect everyone down here to want Preston to win as they seem to like them (and hate us for play offs) for some reason.

I think we'll get to the final, just hope we don't play Reading as I had a dream the other night we lost to them 0-1 in the play off final!

I'm hoping to get one of the 7 pairs of wheelchair tickets we have been given, so fingers crossed i can get one. If not i'll be watching it at home no doubt. :)

telly for me. I'm dj-ing in town in Reading on Friday with a couple of mates. The night is supposed to start at 8 so I'm going to have to turn up early, make my excuses and sneak out to a different pub to watch the game then come back lagered up, get on the beerphones and hit the decks.

Only 7? That's a pretty poor show.

I won't be able to go, to watch it or even to listen to it, thanks to a stupid work thing. I'm going to get my ticket for the home leg at lunch, though.

We were only given 3 pairs for Palace :(

That's well poor. I wonder how many we give away to travelling supporters?

I am appearing in a play that night so obviously cant go. I will be Sky+ and then watching when I get in.

I'll be there on friday, managed to get one of the 7 pairs of tickets
had to book the afternoon off work as our coach is setting off at 3pm! :D

Coca-Cola Football League Championship

Preston North End v Sheffield United ( 7:45 )
Andre Marriner
Patrick Keane and Nick Kinseley
Fourth Official - Anthony Taylor

Andre Marriner..... I'm sure we have had a bad time with him this season, someone remind me please.

We've only sold 1,000. What a disgrace.

I am one of those that would love to be there but for financial reasons, its just not possible. Went down last night and validated 3 season cards for the home leg. Cost me £44 (Alright, not that bad compared to some clubs admission prices). This is for a match I could have watched at my mates house for nowt.(no,I can't afford Sky either).

Everybody has already got one eye on the final. If we get there it's gonna cost me £200+ by the time I've forked out for young BB and his Mum. Wouldn't miss it for the world though.

I could go on Fri though if I did without certain things like food, drink and a family etc.:D:D

We've only sold 1,000. What a disgrace.

Why? It's on telly, and it's on a Friday evening. If I were to go then I'd have to leave my five year old daughter in the house on her own, as my wife finishes work too late for me to be able to drive over in time to guarantee getting there in time.
I suspect there are many more who would rather watch it on telly either at home or in the pub than have to use up a day's or half day's holiday, or simply can't get the child care sorted. There may well be those who have to work, with no chance of getting to the game at all.
If it was on a Saturday than I would expect more tickets to be sold, but not for a Friday night televised game.

I'm sure there's valid reasons for people not to go, I'm not doubting that. But, to take 7,000+ down to Palace last week which was also on TV and then only take 1,500-2,000 to Preston for a big playoff game I find quite dissappointing.

owd BB an gert have gone plastic............no more matches this season.

good luck Blades........
