Was holidaying at the weekend with a few lads who know an ex player from the 90s. Local lad. Reckons budget is a lot nearer 50m than 20m..

Bowled over if we had that sort of budget to blow. Not that CW would blow it as such. I think we all trust him to make good use of whatever the budget may be

I think it will be at least £40m. It’s not £20m, we wouldn’t be able to sign three players with that at the level we’re stepping up to.

£50m would not surprise me and although it seems like a lot of money it’s all relative. Our income has increased by a huge amount and so has the value of the players on our radar.

The £20m figure was nothing but conjecture based on Wilder apparently suggesting we would have a similar budget to Norwich. We don’t know Norwich’s true budget and it also depends on what you define as “similar.” Not that I’m suggesting you’re claiming £20m is the budget just labouring the point as many are still quoting that figure and it’s been plucked from nowhere.
