Sheffield United have been lined up for a feature on the next episode of Crimewatch following the biggest act of theft in UK history. It is understood more than £75m has been taken along with a number of other items.

Detective Inspector Steve Grace, in the studio, explained "we can't pinpoint the exact date of the theft but it appears that a co-ordinated and sophisticated gang have carried out the thefts mostly during 2020".

It is believed the chief suspects are AFC Bournemouth, Liverpool and Swansea City with the latter involved both directly in 1 act of theft and also indirectly by aiding and abetting another suspect to parade an asset in an act intended to fraudulently misrepresent its value.

DI S Grace added that as well as the money, gone are
• the chances of any silverware for another 12 years (although police admit that using the XC [expected cups] index this could be as high as 180 years),
• part of the stock of "he's one of our own t-shirts" which had been selling well for 4 years and
• The copyright to the song "Yorkshire's number one"

It's reported that also gone in the raids, but thankfully won't be missed are
• VAR
• Paul Tierney and
• a number of diving mats that are generally only visible to opponents of the Blades.

Please, don't have nightmares. Do, sleep well.

I recall when they were looking for Nathan Blake"s mother and mentioned she's his mum.
Also the murder of a Blades mad postman in Nov 1993 in Woodseats.
The time some wanted lout was mentioned as being 'possibly unable to resist visiting Sheffield United so keep your eyes open. "😂
