Stadium and facilities redevelopment post KMC

Some of my colleagues are "working" on the training ground, true that it did stall but it's starting to pick up a bit of steam again now.

I‘m concerned by the fact “working” is in inverted commas. Please could you ask your friends to pull their fingers out? Moose is really looking forward to the new steam room.

As we only sold out a handful of games in the PL, there's zero reason to commit to any capex on the stadium. Even though our game day offering is still at a league one level, there's just no ROI on it.

Based on us being back in the championship, I can't see anything changing anytime soon..
The reason we don't sell out home is largely to do with Sheffield Police's policy & their Lunatic need to have rows & rows of empty seats between opposing fans. Empty rows at the front of Bramall Lane Stand, a sizeable block in the corner near the away fans. Nobody else seem to have this policy.

Bloody hell.
This is Sheffield United!
The board have only just stopped citing 'The New (South) Stand' as a reason why we can't spend money on the team.
Don't forget, we are the only club in the world to ever build new stands!!!
I first started going to the lane when the south stand was merely a building site. So all my intervening Blades supporting years, have been under the dark cloud of new south stand debt.

Sheffield United is pleased to announce a new long term sponsorship and catering contract with Harry Ramsden's.

Under the terms of the partnership, Harry Ramsden's will open a new location at our Shirecliffe training facility and provide all the fish, chips, and scraps Lys Mousset requires to keep him in top form full.

Fans can also look forward to seeing Sheffield United stars in Harry Ramsden's locations across the country, because we're releasing the useless fuckers and they'll need a job.

If that is true then it looks like the plan Wilder kept banging on about is being stuck to.
Sort of. It is true that it went quiet, which was due to the potential (at the time) for relegation. Its all going fairly slowly but is moving along and as I understand, the council are changing the goalposts (pun unintended) on the land costs. There's also a community foundation project where the council were going to put a million quid in, and donate the land, but have now decided that they want to make money on the land and so have pulled the plug.... for the time being.

That's not like Sheffield council when dealing with Sheffield united ;)

And Uniteds stupidity of selling the remaining 3 or 4 thousand tickets on a one each basis.

Bearing in mind that these 3 or 4 thousand people are our most casual fans in the first place, who won't take much putting off, they can only get a ticket if they turn up and sit on their Jack Jones.
Great way to build the next fan base

Awesome I’d fucking love decent fish and chips at half time. Can’t even get chips at the moment on Shoreham.

Talk of ground extensions was always crazy until we'd survived a few more years in the PL. The club is now owned by a man with no real money + no personal connection to SUFC. It is saddled with a mortgage for its purchase of the existing ground + can't afford to improve its facilities. The owner will not fund endless losses like other Championship owners + if there is no quick return to the PL , we are in for a long period of belt-tightening whilst we slide downwards. The expensive mistakes in recruitment coupled with Covid & relegation have put us in a parlous state. Half the squad needs moving on and that is going to be a huge task for the next manager which will require every available penny to be wisely spent. The first 3 Wilder years were penny-wise but the last 2 were pound-foolish which has left us in a poor financial state , with some bang-average players on good contracts. So forget the ground.

You forgot to mention the end of the world.
