I'm happy with that line-up, I've been wanting to see McG and McB starting together for a while now, both can drop deep at different points, should help us keep a bit more possession and control the game a bit more, hopefully

Hopefully now we really have something to play for we'll re-discover our winning mentality.

Really disappointed with the lineup again.

McGoldrick & McBurnie have been our worst combination at the top of the pitch this season.

Other than that, I guess with it being an FA Cup Quarter with so much riding on it, he probably is trying to be risk-averse by not shaking things up.
But some of the lads are extremely fortunate to hang onto their places; Stevens & Norwood in particular.

Have they? It's been so long I can't remember them last starting together!

They’ve got to keep playing most of first team to try and get some form and additional fitness.

You’ve got to feel for them ... both contributed to get us this far in the cup and both lose out to a massively out of form Enda and a returning from injury Fleck *Edit * that was supposed to be quoting Bakeblade

Someone shouts JOC sold for 50 mill then shoutbox closed ha ha

I’m sure it was entirely coincidental

No Aubameyang and Luiz in. I feel slightly more confident!

In: Maitland-Niles, David Luiz, Willock, Kolasinac, Lacazette

Out: Bellerin, Holding, Ceballos, Aubameyang, Nketiah

Mcburnie seems like he wants the ball in the air where mcgoldrick is a player who likes to thread the ball on the ground to his partner, so for me its mcgoldrick with either sharp or mousset and mcburnie with sharp or mousset

Most of the players have underperformed since we’ve been back

Today I’m hoping to see improvement all over the pitch and for me especially McBurnie

I know he’s been ok, but not in the area where he needs to be. All his good stuff has been outside the box. Needs to pick it up where it matters for me and let’s see some goals ............. please

Luke Freeman and Osborne must be totally demotivated

Wilder spent £8m on these two yet is completely unwilling to use them.

Very strange.

Add them to the long 'waste of money' list.

Thought this might have been a game to try Berge in the DM role from the start and see if he could impose himself.

Nice to see we’ve opted for something a bit different today then...

McBurnie doesn’t want it in the air, it’s us that lump it to him

That is a disappointing 1st 11 for me considering how we have been recently. I also think that we can see Wilder's bloody mindedness in the selection, as in he knows we want changes so stays loyal to players out of form.

Wilder always has the very convenient 'give them a chance to redeem themselves' excuse...

I'm ashamed to say for the first time in my Utd life I want us to lose.

If they are not letting us in what's the point of getting to a Semi?
This is like one of those fake war time Fa Cup games.

Fake Football.

Don’t want them to lose though!... fook that!!

The signing success rate is getting progressively worse.

It's a bit harder now though isn't it...

Very hard for players to hit the ground running in the PL.
We really haven't spent much relative to the league.

Depends what you mean by success rate. For me, success means improving the squad, winning games of football. We have been brilliant, I don't care if the new players start or push the old players to improve.

It's very hard to judge signings like Freeman and Osbourne when they don't get played regardless of how dire the players they'd be replacing don't get dropped if we're honest.

0-0 and lose on penalties. 👎
It's time for break

They're a waste because they never play, not because they're not good enough.

Yes they push existing players, but that's not enough to judge them as successful in my book. To do that they'd need to play a bit and perform reasonably well. And not just against Raggy Arse Rovers in the early rounds of the cup.

Exactly. So the question needs to be asked as to what they need to do to actually get a game. Every time Freeman's played hes been solid, likewise for Osborne. Freeman was the standout midfielder in the championship at the time we bought him. Yet he can't get a game when flecks awfully out of form. I wouldn't blame them if they said "fuck this, I'm out"
