First 10 yards are in the head
I have to agree with BanderSerge more or less.
Have the past 4 years under CWAK taught us Blades nothing? When we came up to the Champ, everyone (and I include myself) thought if we could finish about 15th in our first season back we'll have done really well, after the Burton game when Coutts broke his leg we were top of the league and I think we'd all agree if things had been different we'd have finished higher than 10th. Fast forward to next pre-season and I think most were thinking a mid-table finish would be good and challenging for the play-offs would be an achievement.... signed Norwood, Basham arrived, and the rest as they say is history. This pre-season, we were wrote off by just about everyone, maybe us Blades optimistically hoped for survival, I think 15th was favourite on the forum vote and I'm sure that was being optimistic. Everyone else had us to finish rock bottom and potentially with very few points. We go into the final game with 54 points on the board and can't finish any lower than 10th.... 10TH!!!
Write off the CWAK effect at your peril. We've improved every season so far and I for one have stopped doubting this manager and his ability to achieve what most of think is beyond us.
