my dear friend and total lifelong Blade Lord Bos of Eckington. sadly passed away on Tuesday 15th evening . He had been fighting cancer for almost three years always with a smile and a wit as sharp as a Blade. The forum meant a massive amount to him during this time, and gave his much comfort and entertainment. I thank you all on his behalf for giving him somewhere to go and chat with fellow Blades in his darker quieter moments... thanks again.

RIP Sir Bos

I rarely venture out of General Chat these days, so he's not a poster I encountered much, but always sad to see a decent fellow blade go, and by the sounds of it, he was a very decent cove.

RIP.

Brixworth Blades. Think you've done many of us today with this very sad news.
I was just browsing the forum for opinions on the game and our players performances and to be hit by this very sad news of one of our really popular members passing, well and truly stuffing knocked out.
Hope you and his family and friends give him a great send off and take a very small comfort in what he meant to many of us who never met him.
RIP Lord Bos of Eckington.

Sad news. RIP blade. No age to go

I always liked and enjoyed Bos's posts. Like many on here I was unaware he was suffering. Thankfully he'll have loved last season, I hope he and his family knew there's love and affection amongst fellow Blades. Brixworth Blades, thanks for the post and the superb photo, UTB!
I agree IIYB - love the photo and certainly passes for a lord :)

RIP fella - always sad when we lose a blade.

Rest in Peace. A great contributor this site.

What saddens me is there is some superb characters and posters on here and sadly many I have never met.

That's exactly it! I mentioned of the sad news to a friend, who is also a poster on here. His reply was "top poster". There's loads I haven't met but we all share that one thing in common.

Always a calm voice of reason amongst the over reaction, when things aren't going so well, which I will miss. It was always a pleasure to read your posts.
RIP Lord Bos of Eckington, Blade.

Only just seen this. Sad to hear. Looked no age from the pic.

Know Eckington well and went to school there. Was he an Eckington lad?

Sincere condolences to his family and friends. God speed Blade.

Thanks for the memories Lord Bos.
Hope this is appropriate for you Bos RIP.

Two days used to seem so far away
Now a year passes by in a blink of the eye
Old age slowly creeping up on me, responsibility
Making time move faster
I know

I will be gone one day
But you'll have a picture and a storybook
In your mind, of me
So smile

Yeah I will be gone one day
But you'll have a picture and a storybook
In your mind, of me
So smile

We'd lay between the pine trees
Beside the fire on a summer's night
Unknowingly, making memories
To keep us warm when our hearts aren't bright

And when I'm on my way out
Please take some comfort in knowing
That you've got the thoughts of the good old days
They're there to keep you going

Yeah I'll be gone one day
But you'll have a picture and a storybook
In your mind, of me
So smile

Yeah I will be gone one day
But you'll have a picture and a storybook
In your mind, of me
So smile

Never stop making memories
Live life don't just exist
Never stop making memories
Live life don't just exist
'Cause everyday can be a good old day

Yeah I will be gone one day
But you'll have a picture and a storybook
In your mind, of me
So smile

Yeah I will be gone one day
But you'll have a picture and a storybook
In your mind, of me
So smile
