This is what the Norwich fans were saying about us before our trip to bumpkin land (check me out using the search function and all that ;)):

“I’m really concerned that Sheff Utd’s game plan will be to kick us off the park, knowing that Leeds face us next as well. I’m almost expecting injuries here. I hope the ref is strong!”

“I’ll be amazed if we get out of this game without a whole new injury list.”

“I hope we score early, then shithouse horrendously, just to annoy Wilder”

“Bloke is a tw@t of the first order and deserves the humiliation his team will suffer this weekend.”

“I have no respect for someone, who of the age he is, and the ‘responsibility’ of his job, comes out with such drivel, like he did at the away game last season, and expects people to swallow it, and and pander to him.”

I prefer it when you don't like us.

Why are Norwich fans such self-righteous condescending twats?

They don’t need to be. They’re not from London.

If anything I feel sorry and pity for Norwich fans having to create a rivalry with a team 3000 miles away in Ipswich to make themselves feel like a proper team.

Potato-farming nothingness of a support-base.

You do not have my respect and I certainly do not need to ‘earn’ yours, son.

Just to be clear, in case there was some confusion, I don’t like Sheffield United, I don’t like wilder, and I don’t want you to do well.

But your results have earned my respect.

I also couldn’t give a hoot whether you like norwich or not I don’t need your validation

I know you don't give a 'hoot' but ill validate you anyway:

I think if you asked a football purist who plays the best football in the league, they'd probabaly say Norwich. I think it's the short passing and the obsession of possession.

I still think we play good football, but our tactical approach is a bit more adaptable than Norwich's.

The most satisfying thing about this title race is that all of the top 3 play attractive football on the ground, play to win, and no team has spent ludicrous money either.

The beef with Norwich is all built around THAT game at the Lane last season. Possibly the worst example of cheating I've ever seen at a game. I've seen nothing to think this is an established pattern with the team or club, until I saw the Rotherham accusations yesterday. As for the handbags after the infamous game at Bramall Lane: it takes two to tango and the Norwich fans goading the Blades knew exactly what they were doing to my mind.I can't condone it, but I'd have expected to get clipped if I was outside a ground doing the same. Still, over football...
The top three are all good, short passing teams witth the Blades playing a revolutionary 3-5-2 system with ovelapping centre backs. All three have been built relatively cheaply, by excellent managers; in particular the Blades side that has been built for peanuts with one of the lowest wage budgets in the division. If we had this side all season - including the January signings - we'd be shoe ins for top two, but we didn't so it will be nip and tuck until the end of the season. All three sides deserve to go up automatically ,but one side wont, sadly. Still, we can't complain given the level of overachievement.

Whether we like it or not or, whether we like them or not, NC have for years been a very difficult team to beat. the odd season when the wheel has come off, they seem to have an ability to quickly rebuild and kick on. Remember a few seasons ago when they got stuffed 7-1 at home to Colchester, they dusted themselves down, nicked the U's manager and got promoted. Their antics last season didn't endear Norwich to us, but I think since then we have repaid that by our results against them. Good side, twat of a Manager is how I would sum them up.

Not much love lost between the blades and canaries over the last couple of seasons, but after watching your last couple of games I felt compelled to come on here and say how impressed I’ve been.

I didn’t really expect either us or you to keep up this pace, it’s been relentless.

Wilder has done a brilliant job. Excellent football with a blend of grit and style.

Fair play blades. Whichever two clubs finish top 2 this season really will have earned it.
Thanks. Tuesday in particular was an amazing victory against a side who did everything right (apart from score ) against 10 men.

I thought we'd suffer yesterday as a result of that monumental effort and I think we did a little.

Sharp is a nightmare to play against.

I've also watched your last two games and you've been well worth the 6 points over the 2 x 90 minutes. Both were a bit frustrating to watch to be honest from our perspective.

Obviously I'm not going to wish Norwich all the best, I hope you collapse and we storm past you, but given how resilient you've looked, I'm not expecting that.

I was at that game, the one where we time wasted for a good 10 minutes. In fairness, its probably the most extreme example of time wasting I've ever seen from an English team too. Angus Gunn and James Maddison infuriated you, understandable.

Although its also the first time I've been to an away game where hooligans stormed the away exits and attacked visiting fans, with no regards to the women, children and elderly people who might have been trying to get out of them. Probably best that Sheffield United stop moaning about that game, considering several Norwich fans didn't get back on the coaches that evening and one had permanent brain injuries, agreed?

Seem to remember you trying to run down the clock to go home with the point at Carrow Road this season though, including your substitution in the 4th minute of injury time.... so lets not pretend that there are any managers who don't have this in their locker.

And I'd take those moaning Rotherham fans with a pinch of salt to be honest, there game plan was to breathe down our necks constantly and give us no time on the ball. Take this passage of play as an example, there are 4 occasions where the Norwich player could have taken the foul but we wanted to keep the ball moving.... find it a bit amusing that they think we go down easily, they looked like Tony Pulis's wet dream.

The entire game was like that.... Rotherham not giving us any time or space, Rotherham's smallest player looked about 6 foot.... they were set up to be physical against us. They are bitter that their game plan didn't quite work out, although it was a close game and it almost did.

Fair comment.

I think many under estimate how difficult it is to win at Rotherham when they are up for it. Farke even commented in his post match interview that it was an ugly win but he was proud of the commitment and battling qualities.

Different oppositions offer different challenges and a successful team usually needs to have different methods/ tactics in their locker to win.

Pretty much what Alex Neil said in his post match interview ‘you need to find different ways to win’. Which is what we’ve done.

To me Norwich play like the Leeds of 1970 got some great player but are a set of cheating time wasters, can't stand the bastrds. Nothing would please me more than to see them in the play offs. Still having said that it will be a huge injustice if the current top 3 don'get promoted as they are way better than the rest.

Norwich have some wonderfully talented players who are so easy on the eye to watch. Farke has done an amazing job because the side he brought to Bramall Lane had moments but looked very disjointed. They deserve promotion along with Leeds and ourselves.

The only thing that ruins Norwich is their diving around and timewasting. Ive seen it first hand in our games, the televised East Anglia derby last month and a few Millers are making the same accusations yesterday. Can't all be wrong.

*Signs up to another teams forum.

Jog on mate. Should be time to shag your mum again soon you inbred cunt.

Damn good win yesterday blades. I don’t like it but it’s impressive.

Every team loses, its how you respond to that (Leeds fall apart, you get the job done at Preston which is as tough an away game as they come).

Do we still have your respect, m’lord?

No respect last season when your cheating wankers and porn shop manager took the piss. I don't care if Norwich win the Champions league they are in my top 3 of wanker clubs.

What is it specifically that you don't like about United and Chris Wilder? Which particular incidents occurred that made you dislike them so? Genuinely interested....

He’s probably upset that Ipswich call us Norwich of the North. It must be an East Anglia thing, personally, I always enjoy my visits to both clubs down there.

Sheffsteel.
Two years ago we were in League one.
The game v Norwich was about 18 months ago.
I mention it to show how far we've advanced.

Can't say I have strong feelings for Norwich either way, although I always liked Darren Huckerby. But this season you've been phenomenal, attacking wise you are the best side in the league by a mile, arguably better than Wolves last season. Deserved champions elect

I don’t have a particular dislike really, just no affinity either. I’ve always been generally ambivalent when it comes to Sheffield United, but never much looked forward to our games at bramall lane because in my memory we generally lose.

Since we played in September 17 I dislike that a lot (most?) of your fans seem to think we’re anti-football cheats, which I strongly disagree with. I think it’s then a natural reaction to be defensive of my team; you don’t like us so I don’t like you.

I prefer you to Leeds though (another club that doesn’t seem to like us, stemming from the league 1 rivalry and us signing their midfield), and that’s because of the way you’ve gone about things since coming up from league 1. It is impressive; you play good football, you win important matches and you haven’t done it with a massive budget. Despite the lack of respect coming the other way, it’s difficult for me to say anything other than well done to you - you’ve clearly got a squad / manager / club to be proud of at the moment.
