Hello to all, I am new on the site and after reading things on here for a long time decided to become a poster. (that last sentence sounds creepily similar to a dating add, oh well) I currently write a blog about The Blades, its not been up for long and I intend to study Journalism (real journalism not that crap you read in our papers) so if any one wants to take a ganders at that the link is below, and any feedback is good feedback (within reason) and I look forward to the banter, opinion sharing and discussions that will no doubt ensue from here on out.

Hi Jon, welcome mate.

Just had a look at your blog, seems to be of a decent standard, so just continue, write passionately, and apart from punctuation, learn the importance of syntax. It'll serve you well in the longterm. Best advice I can give is to read great authors, Orwell, Gore Vidal, and whoever else strikes a chord with you.

I'm on the cusp of writing a blog too, except mine won't be football related, so I do appreciate the need to convey thoughts sincerely and passionately. Being football it's also good to retain a sense of humour, especially following the Blades. So good luck and I hope you enjoy being here. UTB

Welcome, good luck with your chosen career path. My advice comes from a Professor at Hallam. ' there is no piece of work that won't benefit from a period of reflection'

So I will think about this post haha

Thanks itsinyerblood and dingledog, I will be taking your comments on board, I am new to writing and these bits of early advice are valuable and definitely things I will use to try and improve my work.
