It's Scottish, it means outside of.

Not sure why only the Scots use it, to be honest.

And “back of” as in “I’ll see you the back of 7”

I never remember what it means though

Remember when we signed a load of players thinking that in a few years time they might develop into solid Championship players worthy of stepping up into our team and helping us push towards promotion after slowly improving year on year and then we got promoted during our second season anyway and now we're all like.

Wages can be the only reason he's still on our books surely.
He’ll be gone at the end of the season and in a few years people will be posting ‘I’d forgotten about him, did he actually play any games for us?’

Wheere do ya stay

I'm staying at the premier Inn.

Nooo, I mean wheere do ya staaay.

Actually means where are you from. Worse than the French, honestly, why can't they just speak English properly like Danes or Spaniards

🎶 There is a green hill far away without a city wall🎶

Without in this instance means Outside.

Feel sorry for him, obviously decent enough for us to have bought him but fitness always a problem for him.

We'll always have Ipswich (away in the FA Cup).

At least this makes a semblance of sense.

Love a bit of local dialect, but since when did reading a newspaper become like reading a sodding Irvine Welsh novel?

After loving Trainspotting all those years ago, I tried reading Porno recently. Found it impossible to read the dialect and gave up.

In his first interview didn't he moan how hard the training was here? Always seemed like a big time Charley.

I don't feel sorry for him. Seems like a waster with a bad attitude.

Before he knows it, he'll be 30 playing non-league wondering what might have been
You’re right - confirmation that footballers at 22 no longer have the brains they were born with, all full of “I want it now”...

Every time he did play for us he scored.

We have moved on quite quickly from some of the players we signed hoping to be prospects. That said a lot of players such as Thomas should have be using their loan moves to show they have something to offer.

Most have barely stood out during their loan spells and seem to be happy to see out their contracts.

Is this chap still our player? Goal and an assist against Cardiff, they are a bit crap though. Always thought there was a player trapped In there somewhere, still not exactly managed to prove it any sort of high level. But take note Ricky Holmes, least he’s playing footy and giving it a go.

Yeah Ricky, you should absolutely be walking away from the best wage you’ll get for the rest of your life. After all you’re only 32, you’ve got plenty of time in your footballing career to work your way back up, even if you are struggling with injuries...
