Has someone died and made you important?

I've consistently expressed the same view regarding Madine, and a few flick headers won't change it. If you look back on my previous posts, i've not deviated from my view. I don't like the bloke and I don't want him at the club.

Unless I'm mistaken, my view carries the same weight as yours and others on this forum. I'm not calling yours or theirs out as 'a load of bollocks' for taking a contrary view, i've a bit more manners than that. Nor am i booing Madine during games, as it's not constructive. My stance, is as i've stated, and i'm not trying to force it anyone else.

Talking to a bloke at half-time. Seen him a few times as he’s a mutual friend. Spoke to him face to face today.

Anyway, 4 years back he’s in the casino, as is Madine. Bloke goes for a piss with his pint, someone knocks it out of his hand. Jokingly he says “you owe me a pint”. Madine’s mate says “we’ll see about that.”

Next thing, Madine’s coming in showing off. Mates mate says “Leave it he’s Wednesday” “I don’t give a fuck who he is.” Madines mate says “let’s take this round the corner”

Anyway, pushing and shoving and off he goes in a taxi.

Kell Brook fight at Lane. Madine walks up - “you were in the casino weren’t you? Bygones be bygones. I’m paying”.


So he changed that blokes mind. A bit.

Fair enough, and in response to having my opinion/stance called ' a load of bollocks' again, I'll respectfully tell you to 'fuck off' again. It doesn't really evolve the conversation though does it?

In answer to your question, I didn't cheer either of his goals nor applauded when he left the pitch. I think he's a shithouse, and i'm not a hypocrite.

I respect you for not being a hypocrite, but I still think that's crazy, since its still a Sheffield United player. If everyone took your stance and each time Madine scored there was silence I'd feel embarrassed to be honest. Thankfully most have given him a chance and he looks a really good addition.

To be honest the stance is akin to a kid running away from home.

Madine is a quality addition.

You’re acting a bit of an idiot mate. The blokes been polite enough to express his view without resorting to becoming insulting. You need to grow up a bit.

As for Madine, I was against him signing. His reputation goes before him, he’s a bully with alcohol in him. He’d have assaulted any one of us on that infamous night out when he decided to break one of our fans’ jaws simply for stating that he was a Blade. No amount of goals will gain my forgiveness for that.

However, I also intimated that he wasn’t a good enough player to justify the risk of dividing the fan base and (potentially) upsetting the dressing room. On this count he is proving me wrong. He’s been excellent in all of his appearances for us so far and has added a different dimension to our game. Fair play to him and I hope he keeps going.

With all due respect mate it’s bollocks and sounds stupid. I’d be embarrassed to sit there on my hands after United score goal, be it Billy, Madine, or Jack the Ripper.

You know, sometimes its time to leave things alone and just disagree without going all Tyler Durden. It's not important. We won he scored two. Let's see how we and he go to the end of the season.
 
When we signed him I said I hoped he'd let his actions on the pitch do the talking. Today I thought he was fantastic. He might have been a colossal prick off the pitch in the past, but people change, and if wilder (and Sharp, given their history) are OK with him, then so am I.

And I defy anyone calling themselves a blade to not celebrate if he scores at the sty on 4th March.

Admittedly, part of my stomach still turns when I see him on a Blades teamsheet.

But he's finally putting a shift in, and that's what matters to me. If he scores against the pigs I'll be fucking elated.
 
Am I right in thinking he's only scored 1 less Championship goal for us than he did in 40 odd matches for W*******y ?
 
Enjoyed the Madine chant today... what was the bit after, “he used to be a t***” that they was singing ?
& yeah I didn’t like the news when I heard he was coming but sometimes that’s just life and he’s doing good
 
I have seen Madine first hand out and about giving it the big man with a few lakkies tagging on just in case he took on a bit too much.

So in my opinion 2 goals in a 4 0 win or indeed the winner in 1 0 win will not change my opinion that he is a bit of a twat.

That said, if his goals take us to the premier league I would be over the moon but probs still think he was a twat.

I had a rye smile on my face. He has been playing well recently but not found the net til now. Im pleased for him. Im glad Hogan played as well.
We are going to need everyone if we are going to go up this season.
 
I was against the signing originally, more so as he’d not scored for Cardiff than his last.

Glad to say he’s proven me wrong and been excellent since he joined. Was chuffed when he got off the mark today. Long may it continue!
 
I was against bringing him into our club ,
because of his history, and I don’t mean playing for the “ pigs “
But who am I to argue with Sir Chris, if he says he’s good enough, and wants to play for us , and in every game I’ve seen him play in , he’s put a shift in
Then that’s good enough for me , I just hope the love in doesn’t evaporate after a few bad games ,
Because for some it just takes 1 or 2 mistakes to get hooked

Understand and respect your views , but as a father of a young one , two players we had , and still have , who I disagreed with signing and resigning and posted such , went way beyond anything he has done , been out on many a night in Sheffield / Dublin , where it got all hands to the pump when someone got clipped
Doesn’t make it clever or right , but he seems to have grown up ,
if he was to act the maggot again then , no he should never play for us again , no matter what he’s done for our club or how many goals he’s scored
