I never tire of watching that footage and never will. A stupendous quality strike on a fantastic night I'll never forget. The commentary also adds to the excitement of course and whenever I'm feeling bored or whatever I'll watch that clip.

I'd like to see that shown on the new screen at the Lane during the build up to kick off just to get the adrenalin flowing.

Lads a legend, i spoke to him at the 125yr dinner, it was the night he scored the equalizer v Liverpool, he was on top form and clearly still loved the Blades and was very close with the Quinn brothers, Paddy, Michael Brown and a few other ex players from that era on his table.

I think a press hack got confused, and in several papers the following day, they reported Geary as going in goal. Made the goal he scored even more remarkable.

Criminally underrated (not amongst Blades of course) - when you look at the career Maguire is having, Jags was so much better. He could defend just as well but was athletic, could dribble, pass and of course could bang in a 30 yarder.

Most other fans will see him as a steady defender, they won’t remember he was Championship player of the year (not just blades poty) playing in central midfield for us, running the show every game.
