Key points from press conference
The key points from this morning’s press conference.
  • His search for a new striker is in the hands of the board
  • Remains adamant that they have to get a deal over the line
  • Admits it could go right down to the wire with the transfer window
  • No new problems regarding team news - just Egan and Mousset missing
  • Ampadu and Jagielka on standby to come in
  • Ranks Leeds as his second most important fixture
  • Says they are a huge club and a fixture he is looking forward to
  • Promises an end to end match with both teams going for the win
  • Believes his side are not far away from getting their first points

He couldn’t be much clearer in his desire for something to happen striker wise.

So frustrating how this is dragging and dragging on. It’s been clear for months We really need someone in - there must be a deal that could be done before deadline day ffs.

Might not be the one we have been expecting

Probably will be someone not in the media now, like Lowe and Bogle were.

Once it became clear that Mooses injury was a long term one, it really should have focused us on the problem at hand. We’ve spend months on the likes of Brewster - there must be another deal to be done somewhere for a striker that will improve us. we were hardly prolific so it shouldn’t be that a small pool to work with.

We dont have huge money but we are a PL side and in a time where lots of clubs are suffering financially - there must be a deal out there that works for us.

As said what is frustrating is how lomg this has dragged on for. If it goes right to the wire that will be over 10% of league fixtures already played plus how long ot takes tje new plauer to get up to speed with our system

I'm sure there will be

Another gem hopefully

Or getting someone just for the sake of needing another striker through the door that will be no better than what we already have

Depends who you're comparing him with I suppose.

Whoever forms our strike force for the rest of the season they still need service from our misfiring midfield

Must be a Bayern/Barca/Juventus hot young striker who could do with some PL game time?

  • His search for a new striker is in the hands of the board - still..
  • Remains adamant that they have to get a deal over the line - goes without saying..
  • Admits it could go right down to the wire with the transfer window - the Sheffield United way..
  • Ampadu and Jagielka on standby to come in - a Jag in the scrap yard is faster than our Phil..
  • Ranks Leeds as his second most important fixture - I'd rank it the #1 most important fixture given we've played two and lost two..
  • Says they are a huge club and a fixture he is looking forward to - agreed..
  • Promises an end to end match with both teams going for the win - should be a good game
  • Believes his side are not far away from getting their first points - i'd bloody well hope so..

Interesting that he mentioned a potential change in shape..If we stick with our normal formation, Ampadu over Jags please Chris.
.

Fkn hell..he's gone grey !
Didn't think he'd been out that long 😱

Once there was this Moose who
Got into an accident and couldn’t play for U-
-nited. When he came back from France,
His hair, had turned from black into bright white.
He said that it was from when
He’d read the thread called “Mousset: outgoing”

Mooose moooose moooose mooooose, moooose moooose moooose mooooose.

Liverpool have said he's yours first dibs they agreed a fee but not how it's structured
