This is the mystery signing everyone’s going on about. Henderson has signed a contract extension to stay here until the end of next year. He’s also said if we are promoted to the premier league he will sign permanently. This gets announced today

Source? And it's got to be someone other than serial ITKER wannabies Strappy, JL94x4 or maxstertheblade

It is, actually. A good goalie (and Dean is very good) is pivotal to a teams' success. We thought Blackman was a step up from Moore and Henderson is an improvement on Blackman. Leeds fans have been raving about Peackock-Farrell but have replaced him with Casilla.

It's part of the kaizen that all good managers practice. The other day, Pep Guardiola explained why Vincent Kompany wouldn't be offered a new contract. He talked about 'there's no room for sentiment in football' and that's how it should be. Should we have hung on to Leon Clarke, hoping he'd reproduce the form of yesteryear?

Personally, I'm pleased with this JTW. Put it this way, if Wednesday were closing in on promotion and went out and loaned £14m worth of striking talent, I'd be very worried. Instead, they've not bought or sold anybody.

Nice collage but..it's but it's not really confirmation is it?

It would be huuuuuuge if it's true though!

The maximum term for a Temporary Loan Transfer is a full season.

Is that just English to English clubs?

Lorius Karius is on a two year loan from Liverpool to Besiktas
Andre Schurrle is on a two year loan from Dortmund to Fulham

Either way clubs can arrange a future deal, so maybe it is 2 individual one year loans?

55.1.1 is the relevant bit. My understanding is that in the EFL you can loan a player for half a season or for a full season. I think it would be odd at any rate for Man United to make a decision now on whether to loan him for next season, rather than say making that decision in the summer when they will know more (I.e which league we’re in, who the Man United manager is etc)

There may for all I know be a way around it, and it could be as simple as just signing a legally binding written agreement to do the loan agreement in the summer when the next window opens (for a set fee). But I’m not aware of an equivalent deal in the EFL.

Looking on the Man Poo boards they rate him highly and would like to see him challenge at Old Trafford. Roundly thought of as a definite future regular PL keeper and possible England International. They are genuinely delighted he is doing so well with us.

I think the very best we can hope for is another season long loan next year....not that this would be announced today....anyone thinking that he will be unveiled as a permanent before 11pm tonight is off their rocker...

Could be an agreement in principle between United & Manure that Hendo can come back all next season too. Nothing official, but just an agreement between Wilder & Solskjaer.

I'm bored of waiting now!!!!!!! Can we just announce something? A new pie? anything

It certainly wouldn’t be ratified by the EFL and May well be unenforceable.

One thing’s for sure, Deane hasn’t “signed a contract extension to stay here until the end of next year” nor can his loan be ‘extended’.

Our Chrissy is an ITK specialist. He told us there’s be ‘three in this week’ last June, then gave further particulars:

I think Palmer and Gallagher are two but couldn’t say who the 3rd is

If it wasn't for the pesky Wilder, Solskjaer & Strappy love triangle they would have got away with it.

Pet hate, but if allegedly "ITK" don't post with certainty it just makes you look more of a tit when it doesn't come off. I am all for people saying "I heard from insert source here" and sharing that as it is relatively interesting and relevant, what I don't like is people stating what they've heard as fact.

"Mate reckons we've signed Henderson on a perm" perfect.

"We've signed Henderson on a perm" wanker post.
