The fact is we have never had such an annihilation of a score line under Wilder. I love how people spin it though, “Southampton could’ve, should’ve, would’ve”... yawn. Did you lot see Leicester’s goals? Three, four passes, easy finish. They barely had to step it up a gear. Embarrassing performance where players downed tools and gave in, unlike anything we saw to that extent under Wilder. Yet some actually thought getting rid/forcing him out would be a positive move.

Silent can't remember exact year mate do you remember conceding 5 goals 3 weeks running, IMS it was Arsenal, Bolton & Sunderland.

Last time we conceded 6 in league was at Man City in August 1999. Last time we conceded 6 in top tier was at Arsenal in November 1965

It cost us a goal, 2 at most. We'd still have got hammered.

If a similarly disastrous event happened within Sheffield United (but not involving Wilder leaving), like a player being arrested for a major crime or going missing or summat, then we've looked more than capable of such a distraction affecting a 6 or 7 nil drubbing.

Let's see when we have more data. If we lose 6,7,8 nil every week until the end of the season, then yeah, but let's hope it was a grief stricken one off.
