I've just found the team sheet from us v Cesena in the Anglo Italian Cup in 1994. What a great away trip, drinks paid for by Reg Brealey in the hotel, watching pre match training with Derek Dooley, and out for Ash Fickling's birthday afterwards.

Surprised anyone would want a photo next to Brearley if honest! Sorry to pick on that, but Brearley made Harry's job much harder than it should have been and of course sold Deane when Bassett was on holiday. Then there was the stand debacle that went on for years without a stand. All the boardroom mess on a regular basis, it appeared to be a total soap opera at times. It wasn't much better with McDonald but he did at least back his man for a couple of years, although I'm aware Brearley did better in his early years also.

One of the unsung heroes of the Carrier Bag Firm excelled themselves at Cesena. A night out in Rimini after the game. He left the hotel to get the train to Bologna to fly home. But, Ale Addled, slept through to Milan. So he got the train back to Bologna, made his way to the airport, where he had missed his flight by some hours. The airline helpfully re routed him. But from Milan, where he'd already been by mistake.

It was a top trip Rooks. I think it was you that moved me from the coach seat i was in (with no leg room) as I was on my tod, "do you mind moving to that seat there", pointing to the one seat on the bus with loads of leg room (middle back row) ... "do i mind moving?" of course not pal ... I ended up sat with Swinton (Fletch) and Rotherham Blades.

Great couple of days, there was some great stories from the other bus (Shred/Kaz's). The type of stories that were funny but in a way that I was glad I wasn't on it!!!
