haha ribery and Valencia? what the fuuuuuu. ill tek it but I don't think its gonna happen

Didn't Wilder say he doesn't want players who just want a last big pay day so doubt this is true

Well, if they're coming to us, it won't be for a big last pay day. So maybe he's testing the waters.
True - but wouldn’t you put Ronaldo in that bracket for Juve? And I assume they’re happy with their purchase to date!

I'm beginning to think being a manager IRL and on Football Manager isn't all that different after all.

You get promoted, saying to yourself you'll spend wisely on young up-and-coming players who are great investments for the club. Then all of a sudden, Yaya Toure is out of contract and flashing his knickers at you. Can't hurt, you think. I bet he's still a solid 130/200. Then it spirals. David Villa is available and he's been scoring goals for fun in the US. Shit, look.... Ronaldinho hasn't been turned into a regen yet! Gerremallin. Sadly, they're wank and you're lumbered with the bastards for 2 more seasons because you wanted to make sure they signed for you rather than some fucking club in Saudi Arabia. You click off the game and go to Pornhub for a crywank.

On a free hes affordable wages wise. Experienced player who could do a job, 1 year contract, nowt to lose. His experience is what we need, better players bring out the best in the rest of the squad.

Would be a good signing on a 1 year deal. Minimal risk.

Think it'd be a great signing.

We are not a team built on young or old players. Or any other category of box you could put players in.

Wilder buys the right players, at the right time to fit his system.

Agree wilder will buy the right players but I’d argue we are an aging team. I’d suggest the average age was probably in the top 3 in the championship last year.

We were the only side in the championship not to give a single minute to a home grown player we own under the age of 23 (I think).

I’d suggest an injection of some youth should be amongst the top priorities this offseason to set us up for the longer term.

Agreed. If nothing else but for someone in the dressing room that’s played at the highest level for years. He would be almost like hiring an expert consultant, in business terms

I see this as playing leap frog from transfer window to transfer window. What do we need in this window? Premier League experience that won’t break the bank is probably high up there. I have no problem bringing in some experience in the short term whilst we consolidate. It’s a bit of a modern cliche but Fulham have shown the pitfalls of doing too much too quickly.

They were after a Quechua 2 man tent. The hotel is fully booked at the moment so they're pitching up on the Desso while they look for permanent accommodation.

But where is bale going to sleep ? If it's a two man :( 😱😵

Agree with this - I actually think I Valencia would have been a decent signing. Played at the highest level, bags of experience and solid professional.

In my view Fulham three the baby out with the bath water and tried to replace the full core of an excellent squad.

I do think that we may only have one year in the PL so adding some youth while we have some resources to do so would set us up for the longer term.

Oh I completely agree, but even if our stay in the PL is only a season, we have 3 transfer windows to restructure the squad, including the current squad. Our finish last year shows we had one of the best Championship squads and the best manager in the EFL. A handful of astute signings before the season starts seems ok to me. Then reassess in January when (please god) the ownership issue is resolved. Just my 2p of course.
