Based purely on 5 minutes of YouTube action, I heartily recommend this player as one we should sign to boost our attacking threat from midfield. He's a lad from up t' Siberia way. He's only 23. He plays for A S Monaco and for Russia's national team. And if you saw the Russia v Scotland game last night you'll know why I'm suggesting him. And if you didn't, then why not join me and become an expert on him by watching the 5 minute video below?

And of course we won't be able to afford him. But isn't this section mostly about fantasy anyhow? So let me dream will yer?
 

He’d be great. Would love it if we got that Frenkie De Jong lad from Barcelona too.
 
last transfer was 30mil to Monaco... he will go to west ham or the like... this kid is safe (upper half) PL club material
 
May not be that far fetched. Both he and Monaco have been struggling for a while now. Survived relegation by two points last season.

But in Monaco isn't that literally 20k a week, whereas over here it'd be taxed?

I think we need more of a ‘bums on seats’ signing. I’ve been talking to Everton and Duncan Ferguson may be available.
 
Positive aspects to this suggestion
- he's a very good player

Negative aspects to this suggestion
  • it's a suggestion rather than a rumour
  • he's destined for a Champions League side
  • he's unlikely to want to swap Monaco for Sheffield
  • he's unlikely to be willing to accept a substantial pay drop
  • he plays in a position CW doesn't currently use
 
He's on about 150k a week at Monaco, will never happen.
