11 points behind united
win our game in hand and the gap will now be 9
so in 25 games Boro will have gained 2 points over us

and they will have to make up 9 in 7 games

Carrick not really that impressive as some make out

seasons are gauged over 46 games not a decent run , ask Wednesday fans

How do you work that out?

The very fact that his team were 21st in the league but have maintained the same (better) points per game than the team that were top at that point, suggests he's done a fantastic job.

His Middlesbrough team are averaging points at automatic promotion levels. Luckily Wilder gave them a disastrous start

Carrick's obviously done a great job, but I absolutely see your point👍

Also worth remembering we'd be out of sight (closer to Burnley) if most of our squad hadn't been injured at the same time. i.e. our first major blip was due to injuries, not form.

Let's keep away from here between now & season's end.

It's clear to see Carrick has done fantastic, he won't be at Boro next season unless they go up though.

West Ham have an eye on him, and he'll go when that's offered, if it hasn't been already.

What your telling us that If Boro pick up another 18 places in their next 25 games they’ll be in the European spots?!

How’s that meant to make me feel better?

It’s alright playing lovely, fast attacking football like Middlesbrough have, but it’s the ground out 1 0 away wins that get you promoted.
