Bit of a tough one this as I was thinking earlier...

What would the ranking of goalscoring names be in United's history.

For example, we have had Leon Clarke, Ciaran Clark (spelling doesn't matter)

Clark (2)

I'm interested to know the most popular scoring Surname for United. Random, I know.

It will be one of Smith, Jones or Brown. A number of those players with those surnames have scored for us.

Got to be Quinn.

We have had Alan Quinn he has 11 goals
We have had Stephen Quinn he has 22 goals
We have had Wayne Quinn he has 6 goals

Michael Brown must be the last Brown to play for us. Who were the last Smith and Jones to play for us?

As in Imrie and Pedro to name but two

I'd say Gillespie seeing as billie Gillespie has over 120 and Keith probably about 3 or 4 , not checked the actual numbers

7 Smiths and 7 Jones’ have scored in the league for us. That’s the answer.

Smith - Grant Smith in 2002-3. Last scoring Smith was Martin in 1999-2000.

Jones - Vinnie in 1991-2, though he only scored in 1990-1.

All the Joneses scored for us. There are a number of non scoring Smiths.
