Having reached the 'acceptance' it's great we went up but not so great to have built such an apparent reliance on one player.

Brighton aren't like this. Brentford neither.

If the net result means we can bring up the overall level of the playing squad it might leave us with a better look forward in 12 months when we could be no better off and losing Iliman for nothing.

But it does mean the recruitment team hitting their mark.

I think in terms of Number 10 it will either be Osborn or Traore. Osborn will provide a hard running press and some physicality, but he’s not the most creative. He does have experience of English football and this level, and is solid defensively. Traore is an unknown quantity with no experience of the level, do you throw him straight in? Particularly alongside Osula or Jebbison?
