I think the only clashes we'll have with our white shirt next year looks like being port vale and possibly preston so we could get away with red and white stripes

For all the good it wil do... I voted lime green. Failing that, red with very faint white stripes. I always thought that the idea of the away shirt was for use in the event of colour clashes.
If there is no clash, wear our proper kit. It annoys me to see us playing in away kits when there is no clash. We are Sheffield United, we play in red and white stripes FFS.
