Pity really that the antagonism exists and there's any argument on this as the data suggests both clubs are of similar stature and have much in common .... though West Ham's current profile is higher and has been for some time, and most of their success comes well after all of ours - which informs modern day fans' views of club status in the "media age".

First boxing match at a football ground goes to Thames Ironworks FC (1890's) - they still haven't got it out of their system though.;)

Erm, not to be a party pooper but:
  • West Ham - Premier League
  • United - League 1
Anyway, haven't we had enough West Ham threads on here? Who gives a shit about them? They're just another on the long list of higher league teams we've knocked out of a cup. To me they're no different to any of the others.

They pay transfer fees for players dont they ? And not undisclosed and tribunals either

Remember that football only started when the top division changed its name to the Premier League in the 1990's. When it suits, previous goalscoring and attendance records etc are airbrushed, Stalin-like from history in favour of "Premier Lague records" so relatively minor post-1990 achievements are celebrated ahead of greater achievements from the past.

In reality, "It's a new Premiership record" means absolutely fuck all

So, who scored the first ever goal in the Premiership? Not Wayst 'Am I seem to recall.
