I discovered 2 things after the match last night: -
1) my A6 is absolutely no use in the snow, notwithstanding that it has front wheel drive
2) it's an awfully long way back to Manchester when you have to go on the Parkway, M1 and M62!
Should have perhaps realised and turned around before giving up the ghost at Crosspool but I couldn't believe how bad Brook Hill and Netherthorpe Street were - I wasn't the only one sliding down them at 1/2 a mile per hour.
How did the other ex-pats get on?
