Which team do you think would win this match (assume all players are at their Blades peak)? The teams represent nothing in particular, purely to set a pointless question. Both teams are playing 4-4-2.

TEAM A
John Burridge
Vasilis Borbokis
Tommy Cowan
Danny Cullip
Joe Shaw
Peter Ndlovu
Mark Todd
Michael Brown
Dane Whitehouse
Mel Eves
Marcelo

TEAM B
Alan Hodgkinson
Matthew Lowton
Roger Nilson
Paul Stancliffe
Paul Beesley
Alan Woodward
Stuart McCall
Bob Booker
Glyn Hodges
Keith Edwards
Jostein Flo

Both teams require a 2-2 draw to prevent being relegated to the 4th division . Final score 0-0 and both get relegated . Its the Blades way.

So if it was 0-0 after extra time and it went to penalties, I'd go for the following:

TEAM B first: Woodward steps up. Smashed. 1-0 to Team B.
TEAM A: Tommy Cowan. Doesn't look confident, but Hodgy goes the wrong way. 1-1.
TEAM B: Keith Edwards to the keeper's right and inside the post. 2-1 Team B.
TEAM A: Michael Brown. But Hodgkinson has done his hoemwork, goes to his left and saves it.
TEAM B: Glyn Hodges. Over the bar. Still 2-1.
TEAM A: Dane Whitehouse. Down the middle. Level at 2-2.
TEAM B: Roger Nilson, with a previous penalty record of taken one, scored one. Puts it away. 3-2 to Team B.
TEAM A: Why is Danny Cullip stepping up? Straight at Hodgkinson and saved. 3-2 to Team B.
TEAM B: Jostein Flo. If he scores, they win it. Sends Budgie the wrong way. Team B win 4-2.

Christ, that was even more pointless than the original post...

Not happy with that final pen Geordie. I'm going with:

TEAM B: Jostein Flo walks forward. He's wrestled to the ground by Stan and Bees. "Oh no you don't you useless twat, you've already missed 5 sitters today, and we're having that fucking bandage off as well". McCall is sent up in his place and buries it past the despairing Burridge. Team B win 4-2.
