After Bradford on Saturday we'll have played everyone in the top 13 except Bury and Northampton. We've also still got to play 3 of the bottom 4 as the table stands now. Trying not to get ahead of myself but I think we're in a really good position. My pint that's usually half empty is edging towards half full!!!

Our problems in the past was losing to the bottom teams when we had done ok against the top teams so I wouldnt pay much attention to what position any one team is.
We played Barnsley last year when they were bottom but they finished above us and went up

I know what you're saying mate but it shows we're competing with the current better teams as things stand. Of course the league table will look different come the end of the season. Blades will be top for a start ;)

Charlton and MK Dons aren't in the top half currently though. We might have got some hard away fixtures out of the way but we haven't got enough points from them due to undeserved defeats at Bolton and Millwall. We're due a win in one of these games, Saturday would do nicely.

We are far less likely to slip up against the lesser teams than we have been in the past.

This team is different to others we've had, with a different manager and a different, much improved mentality.

When I look at games that we should be winning on paper, I'm far more confident that we actually will win them. Because I know Wilder won't let them relax or get complacent and he does everything he can to prevent standards dropping, as opposed to merely paying lip service. We won't want it any less than the smaller teams who may have previously wanted it more than us. So the quality will usually be made to count.

So now when we look at a run of fixtures that appears favourable, there's genuinely good reason to believe that we'll come out of them in a good position.

My pints are usually half empty

I know its a bit of a cliche, but really the most important game is the next one. I'm sure CW and the players aren't looking at who we're playing next month or even next week, and neither should we to be honest (apart from away game planning ). Lets start with a result on Saturday and go from there.

Looking at the table before 46 games have been played is like fucking the hot chicks you fancy but will never settle down with.
Looking at the table after 46 games and finding you`re promoted is fucking the one you`ll marry.
Put simply, have a little wank pre 46 if you really have to,but save your best till after.

Yep youve completely lost me on this one. Ive read and re-read your post and it is as strange as jack the ripper settling down with a family and taking em to the toddler play pen, but i get where your coming from, and i like it. I dont know why...but i like it a lot.

But why would you need a wank if you're fucking the hot chicks?

Ummmm, ok then.

Makes the loss at Millwall particularly disappointing, in addition to the home defeat to Southend. Those additional lost six points would put us in a great position now.

I hope you're going to © this. Don't want Wilder quoting it at his press conference this afternoon.

I know we've improved no end since and haven't lost since, but I don't see how anyone could think we didn't deserve to lose at Millwall. We were dreadful, shouldn't have even scored and should have been 3 down but he time they got that penalty.

Can't believe the turnaround since!
