Just read this online and wondered if we are in the same boat. Maybe this is why we haven't spent as much as we expected since Harry left...

Dundee United may go to Fifa on Friday over Hull City's failure to pay more than £1m owed as part of Andrew Robertson's transfer fee.

A source close to the Tannadice club has told BBC Scotland that the first instalment of the deal for the left-back was due last Friday but has not yet been received.

Robertson, who made his debut against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, left Tannadice in late July for £2.85m.

The second payment is due next summer.

United are angry that, despite several promises of payment, they still await the first tranche of money.

Furthermore, they are now aware that Hull have been trying to sign Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.

BBC Scotland has learned that the Scottish Football Association have been involved in talks with their counterparts at the FA in England to resolve the matter, but without success.

United plan to take the matter to Fifa if the Premier League side fail to pay by Friday.

Can we have him back. We can give them Butler for our inconvenience.

* Note - it's more that Clough doesn't fancy Butler than my own personal opinion.

If we were to get Harry back,Cloughy would propably play him upfront anyway;):D

They want to cough up after tabling a £8m bid for Jordan Rhodes from Blackburn yesterday, doesn't spell any financial difficulties in the slightest to me.

Would it be too simplistic to suggest that once a contract for the transfer of a player is finalised it goes to the FA for ratification?
If then a payment is not made on time, It simply triggers an ineligible player clause? They'd soon pay up if they feared loss of points etc.

Has Harry even had a game since leaving us ? has he even been on the bench ? Not looking such a good career move from here unless of course money is Harry's only driving force.

He played the full game last night in the europa league game against lokeren, and by all acounts had a decent game.He would have kept a clean sheet if it wasn't for Mcgregor's huge error.

To be honest what should we expect from a town full of smack heads! Typical big time Charlie club thinking they can shaft the smaller clubs as much as they want. I don't understand why there paying it in instalments...what's a couple of million quid to Hull with all there TV revenue, premiership money blah blah blah. Pay your debts you scrubbers!

We get a pound a day til either club disappears.

All well and good but the precedent for playing an ineligible player in the premier league is a fine and permission to carry on playing the player!
