Nah we got enough up front with McNaulty, Done and Higdon, all can score goals for us.
If we are determined to play one up front there is no reason for any more strikers, if we changed our formation we could bring in another forward.
What Clough needs to be thinking from now to the end of the season, is who deserves to stay and who needs to go.
We have good depth in the squad now, so we need to start focusing on the quality we bring in!

63% of possession and we only managed 4 shots to their 2 on target says we needed a bigger person upfront, their strikers were defending and according to Kevin Guage towering over us in all departments. Higdons a crock and can't score from the treatment table.

So we replace Hidgon then .......... also possession is a terrible statistic, just because you can hold onto the ball longer doesn't mean you deserve to win or score more....

We could not afford that result today against Crawley ffs. That's not how you get promotion or cement your place in the play offs. Credit to the team and cloughie for trying 2 strikers but this is the type of game where the Oposition are packing their last third that JCR would be a good impact sub. He's always good for working a penalty.

Osman Sow is back playing, go get him off Hearts.

Please.

Only Preston made any progress against us today, we are as near to MK tonight as we were this morning.

We still can afford to lose four games and now only 14 left, let's get to 12 left with those four in the bank.

Crawley were in good form. We should have won, but a draw is not the end of the world.

Quite. While it's disappointing, Crawley are hitting good form atm. It's not as if it's just United who have failed to win a game they 'should' have won. Derby. Middlesbrough. Swindon.

It's football. Not over yet.

Pro zone can make a average side appear good with possession percentage . Goals win games . you could have 95% possession and still come away with nowt . Its the play offs . With the points tally , its looking over your shoulder as well as looking at the teams in front of us . Again the match on Tuesday will not be a walk in the park.

Well, a striker really.

Finishing capability just cost us dear. With game in hand we could have been within 4 pts of second!

:(

We've signed a guy who is scoring about a goal a game since joining us. I'm sorry but this ongoing pony about needing a striker is bollocks. We have the team we just got it together 4 months later than we should have done. Play offs is the expectation but don't be surprised if a couple above us implode along the way.

We are scoring goals have a look at the results recently.

Good form? They parked the bus and all the players cars in their half! They knew we can't break big teams down and finish, we just play the ball, around then

Crawley had us sussed! Used big players behind the ball a lot of the time and we can be shut out. Look at Rochdale, they realised at every corner the ball just floated in above out heads to the goalie. After 3 exactly the same he caught it and threw it straight to the tall striker Sammuel who scored from our lack of height from our corner.

No issue with Done, McNulty upfront it's the whole mix of player physical profile. The lack of height removes corners, free kicks and knock downs from our game and that's to much to be without.

As I said Crawley had us sussed and every time a team puts a big defence in front of us we will have high possession figures without goals. Poor old Done wasn't in the game yesterday by all accounts.

Crawley on a roll , 3 unbeaten , on the plus side we did better than swindon who lost to them midweek and we gained ground on mk dons who coventry beat and a point away is still a point

It shows there no gimmes for anyone we shouldnt beat ourselves up over a draw away , keeps the momentum going , not losing is the first rule .

Yet he won the penalty that McNulty converted. It happens but you are judging one game as the whole. We keep scoring goals from all areas and this is why (and I know its not the popular belief) that we don't actually need a forward any longer. Done won't score every week but the great thing is we have others who come in and score when he doesn't.

Higdon is apparently our "big un" although I don't think he is any better than Porter, but the way we play means that lumping long for flick ons isn't an option.
