(1) It'll be August 6th when United kick-off their season next Saturday. Has a season ever started so early

before? In the old days seasons always started in the last week of August.


(2) Since United started last season with that away game at Gillingham (on August 8th), shouldn't they have

started this one with a home game?

We played Notts County on the 2nd of August about 3 seasons ago.
I remember this has its my birthday and can't remember Utd ever playing on my birthday before in 40 years supporting them.

I remember that being an early one on a Friday evening. Won 2-1 I think, McDonald looked central to all the great stuff, promotion was as good as won.
