Not being funny Putney, but why does anyone give any credence to Twitter rumours? About anything, in particular football rumours.

I'm sat in my dressing gown in my living room having a cup of tea, and I could tweet 'Sheffield United have had a second bid accepted by Fulham' and everyone goes mental. It means nothing until it's confirmed by the club, the player or his representatives. Even Sky Spirts have become extra cautious about what their 'sources' confirm now because of the amount of bullshit flying about.
