The Blades can confirm an overseas pre-season training camp in Spain next month, during which Chris Wilder's side will play a friendly game against Spanish opposition.

In addition to the five friendlies on UK soil, the Blades will incorporate a sixth fixture on the evening of Thursday 14th July, as United prepare for the new EFL League One campaign with some warm weather training at the state-of-the-art La Manga complex. The opponents, venue and kick-off time for the friendly will be announced once confirmed.

The Club are aware that supporters may well wish to travel to the aforementioned match and would encourage fans who are considering travelling to contact our new front-of-shirt sponsor alpharooms, who can offer a selection of travel and accommodation options.

As well as the game, the Club are also planning an 'Open Training Session' for any fans who do make the trip. This open training session will take place on Wednesday 13th July at La Manga on Pitch 'G'. There is small stand in front of the pitch which will allow the supporters to watch the training and Blades representatives will be present to welcome to any supporters. The address of La Manga Club is 30389 Los Belones, Cartagena, (Murcia).

At the end of the training session, the players will happily meet and mingle with fans and sign autographs and have photographs with supporters

Following this training session, all Blades fans are invited to 'Si Bar', situated close to the training pitch, and Chris Wilder and his management team will come along to spend time meeting supporters.

Supporters who plan to travel and would like to be kept informed of the Club's proposed arrangements, should email [email protected]

I was going to say that it's just in time for another excuse, but I won't be cynical.

Went there last year golfing. Nice place and only 20 mins from Murcia airport.

Hmm golf and match. Might have to !!

once again the board finances a top class training break, this wont be cheap

but some will still say the club dont provide whats necessary, but again they support the team

Fuck sake..... only a 4 hour drive for me from my place and they arrange it for the week when im back in the UK.... Set of bastards.

...it was considerate of you to inform them when you'd be back in the UK ;)

To be honest it's not that costly. 5 days there including golf last year was about £400 including best of two accomadation options.

McCabe is livid because of the euro exchange, Luckily he's saved money by asking them to bring a sleeping bag each to kip on his floor and a ban on checked baggage on the Ryanair flight

I always fly Ryanair , fabulous carrier, most used in Europe
most punctual airline in europe too, which unfortunately leads to a dreadful tune on landing

Just stating its v affordable given the quality. Don't think hire of facilities will be high and whilst I was end of April pitches weren't being used.

Decent exercise on a lowing budget imo.
