Basham's ban

He's on 5 yellows after today.

Is that a 1 match ban?

Does the Notts county game count?

Struggling to put a midfield together now

According to RS last week, Basham was definitely going to get booked at Vale, get a one game suspension and it would be served in the pointless JPT game on Tuesday.

It was late in the game, (from memory) he pulled back one of their players about five yards from the ref. All looked very deliberate.

The reason Dimaio was.on the bench the other day was bc we didn't have any other midfield options wasn't it?

So we have a 35 man squad and after Basham, the only other guy who can stick his boot in, is Dimaio? I think people need to wake up, because even Basham's not great at it

Loads on here said they were not going Tuesday. Did Bash get wind of this and who's invited him over Tuesday?

Basham is a poor, poor midfielder. He isn't box to box like certain supporters of his like him to be. He is distribution is poor, his vision is poor and his execution is poor. He might be able to put a half decent tackle in, and might be half decent in the air. However he now appears to be up droppable and I think it is a shame he will be suspended for just one game and straight back in the side after as we could do with him having an extended absence from the side so we can actually give someone a go in the invisible hole in midfield that he is currently employed in

The reason Bash is in there is because there isn't anyone other central midfielders at the club who can get near enough to the opposition to actually get a tackle in.

Yes, it's a sad state of affairs we ask someone who isn't technically gifted to be the driving force in our midfield alongside a technically gifted footballer who only turns up to actually play once in a blue moon, but the reality is until we find someone better than him at what he does, dropping him is only going to lead to us sinking deeper in the hole we're already sliding into.
