Football in crisis, when will we get implicated?

If there is a high-level enquiry/investigation with any teeth following the Allardyce debacle, I've a feeling the FA will end up with few options as to who to appoint.

They'll go down like dominos as one by one, they are implicated, it'll be like the child sex abuse inquiry - are they on their fourth chairwoman by now? I say this because the cheating and double-dealing is soaked through the game - shit, they can't even NOT stick their hands in the air for a throw in when they kicked it out.

Still I've no doubt they'll lift a corner of a carpet and hope the dust goes away by itself.

Wenger may have washed behind his ears & kept his nose clean?
Wenger had some luggage when he first came to Arsenal that was washed under the carpet or denied if you remember ,would that get regurgitated ?

Trouble is who do you get in ? Southgate who has probably never farted outside a toilet ,but will be totally useless ,Steve Bruce proven greedy ,Eddie Howe still on SMA or go Foreign (noooo). Rather have a shady winner myself.

There’s only one man for it then…..

Seriously though, I would like Sean Dyche to be given a crack at it. I think he’s a very impressive manager but I fully expect it to be Steve Bruce.

I said this on Tuesday ,Dyche has done better at Burnley than Howe ,gets the best out of players ,I like him.

What will limit their options is insisting that the would-be manager packs in his current job. I've never seen that being international manager is a full-time job, not until playing for England is a full-time job.

Another thing that might put off potential managers is that it's a no-win situation. England are shit. Always have been, always will be.

I think the work involved being PL manager makes this impossible unfortunately.

If we want an English manager, then I can't see past Howe (Some have mentioned Dyche, but I don't see his CV as anymore impressive than Howe's. I'd argue Howe has a achieved more, playing better football in the process.)

If we're not bothered about an Englishman (Perhaps because there's so little choice) then I'd go for Wenger: if we're going to win fuck all anyway, we may as well do it in style.

The only thing dodgy about the Hammond deal is that Adkins thought that the only way to get him to sign was to offer a 12 month option to one of the most ineffective useless players we have had in modern times !
That's one explanation as to why Adkins gave him the option. so far as I know the club have never said why the option was given. Obviously we have no evidence that the deal was corrupt but it does seem unusual for the player to be given the option rather than the club. To that extent it might be thought "dodgy" and it does not take much imagination to see that there is scope for backhanders etc in deals like that although I am certainly not alleging any impropriety on behalf of Adkins or Hammond.

Well luckily for us Wilder's been managing at a level where bungs aren't given in brown envelopes, instead bungs of given in the form of a brown liquid in a pint glass. So the chances of him getting suddenly implicated and sacked is very very low. But then we're Sheffield United, so, you never know.

i was gonna post how great it was that football was having another bung crisis as its nothing new to me (I was around when clough was getting his brown paper bags in the services toilets) then it suddenly struck me, we're not involved in it all..

Well, we can't be having this can we, I mean what will fatty Samuels write about on Sunday if the evil that is Sheffield United are not involved in underhand deals and as we know whenever people are fixing games and playing ineligible players were always there abouts, so come on then, for a bit of fun seeing as it's all going well at the minute at the club...........what could possibly go wrong?...

Let's have a giggle, who's next after big Sam, Jimmy floyd, and Barnsley guy..meh...

I'm going with Nigel Adkins and Dean Hammonds agent and a three point deduction in late April to take us out of the play offs.....who's with me..!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, and perhaps unsurprisingly, it appears we are implicated.

I saw a list of the alleged 8 managers, last night. My source, is a friend who was passed the info, directly, by a very high-profile, follicly unchallenged media pundit.

I chose not to share this until I saw Hasselbaink - one of those listed - named, today.

One of our former managers is named along with a few individuals who've been implicated previously and one or two who haven't - at least to my knowledge.

Our current manager is not implicated.

A previous manager of ours being implicated doesn't neccesarily implicate us.

All agents limited to 5%, or agents banned?, all managers banned for life if caught out, any club involved relegated.

Let's get real.

Steve Bruce
Alan Pardew
Mark Hughes
Tony Pulis
Ryan Giggs
David Moyes
Eric Black
Harry Redknapp

Any other local clubs involved other than Barnsley and possibly us?

No.

There are two current Premier League managers, including one foreigner and four currently out of work (one is, probably, retired). All have been in the game for many years and will have made many millions from their involvement.

If true, they are all guilty of sickening, gut-wrenching greed and have shown utter contempt for their employers and supporters.

Allardyce's inanely, supercilious interview, today, belied the rancid, self-serving culture that exists in English Football. No contrition nor acknowledgement of his wrongdoing, just a sneering side-swipe at the journos who nabbed him. In the murky mind of Big Sam his only crime was getting caught.

The veneer of the Premier League conceals a labyrinth of vested interest and corruption. There are too many hands stuck in too many tills and, consequently, I have almost zero faith in football's ability to police itself. Lineker's demand for a police investigation, and the potential of convictions, offers the only realistic hope of individuals being brought properly to account and the game being cleaned up. I'm not holding my breath.

It'll pale into insignificance the Italian FA scandal of 2006.

It's already happened to some extent in Scotland.

Time for a season or two with no competitive football in England at Football League/Premiership levels.
England disgraced on the world football scene.

Tip o' the iceberg...

Can`t we just remove corruption, conniving, greed and delusion in one fell swoop by dissolving the west ham and wednesday football clubs from the face of the earth.... it may seem callous but it`s the only true swift salvation of our great game...

no more Peter swann, bronco lane, dave richards, mandaric, Big sam, little pardew, dodgy Harry , porn twats, tevez and fats Samuel ... the world would be much fairer (and a little less ugly) wi`out `em.

So who is the guy linked to us ?

There's no one on the list with ties to us other than Steve Bruce and that mercenary twat was here so long ago they can't have unearthed anything during his tenure here ..... can they ???
